2015 Christmas Countdown

Hello friends! Happy Friday!! The Christmas countdown has begun — Can you believe that Christmas is next Friday?! What?! Where did this year go?! Each year it seems to fly by faster and faster. This Christmas season I’ve been ahead of the game — By the first weekend in December I was decorated, had my Christmas cards ordered (love Minted!), and was 75% of the way done with ordering and wrapping Christmas presents for friends and family! Ryan was a lifesaver in helping with running errands and decorating the house! I am slightly obsessed with Christmas décor (I have 5 huge containers that I store in the garage). We cut down our tree this year (so fun!!) — we need to make this an annual tradition! Somehow I convinced Ryan to get two trees this year — one for inside and one for our patio 🙂December has been filled with so many wonderful memories so far! On December 1st, we kicked off the month with me and Ryan’s 3rd wedding anniversary, I hosted bunco at my house with my fabulous neighborhood ladies (!!!), we dressed up and wen to a Christmas party at The Jefferson Hotel (Ryan rocked a tux!), I went to my dear friend Emily’s house for a fun ladies vendor night, and then I went back to The Jefferson for a ladies night gift exchange. If you live in Richmond and haven’t yet been to see the humongous tree at The Jefferson — you gotta go! Get dressed up and head over for a glass of champagne to toast to 2015. It will be sure to get you in the holiday spirit!

Want to know the best part about December thus far?! Y’all! My niece and nephew got into town at 2:30AM this morning and they are staying at my house (for a few nights before my parents steal them away)! Maury, Rachael, and the babies hopped in the car after rush-hour last night and drove from NY and headed to RVA for the holidays. They are hear until January 3rd so we get a nice long visit with them! This morning has been spent snuggling my nephew, climbing stairs, reading to Junior, and rocking Ellie. My sweet godaughter is 6 weeks old today and has already changed so much since I first met her in the delivery room. Her cute little cooing noises, her facial experiences, her little button nose… I’m so in love! Maury Junior is running all over the house since the last time he was here — he keeps looking at Henry and saying “poppy” (aka, “puppy”). {Insert heart melt!}.

It’s December 18th and it’s such an accomplished feeling to know that I’m all caught up with my editing. My clients have all of their treasured images to enjoy, share, and gift as presents! All my Christmas shopping is done! I can officially relax knowing that I get to enjoy the rest of 2015 spending quality time with my family!

This Saturday we are hosting our 4th annual Jingle Ball at our house. Our family and friends will get dressed up and come over for some holiday cheer! We hope to make a trip to Lewis Ginter’s GardenFest of Lights before Christmas! My parents are hosting Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. My heart is so full and I’m feeling so blessed. SO much more to look forward to as 2015 comes to a close. Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!! XO!
