I specialize in documenting the art of motherhood and families… this includes my love for documenting family milestones. I have had the honor of photographing several baptism celebrations and I get teary-eyed at each one. Witnessing and capturing little ones being accepted into the Christian faith — it’s truly breathtaking. This past Saturday the Kennedy family had a private baptism service at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church. It was my first-time visiting their beautiful place of worship. It was a beautiful sunny day and they were surrounded by their close family and friends.
Baptisms are a favorite milestone for me to capture because I can get creative with the details. Investing in a photographer to document your child’s baptism is such a great idea so you and the parents can be fully present during the service. The resulting images are more documentary (with the exception of family portraits after the service). Documentary photography — photos that tell a story — is what excites me! Enjoy viewing some favorites from this milestone session.
“Allison captured our son’s Baptism beautifully. She was quick to respond to any questions I had, showed up on time, and returned our pictures to us very quickly! The pictures she took were amazing, and we will treasure them forever!” ~ Joyce
