Well, hello there! I have a few exciting announcements today… DRUM ROLL PLEASE……….. TA DA!!! I now have an online store for my clients! This was huge on the good ole’ “much to do” list and I’m proud to say that I got it setup (all by myself!). This virtual home will be where my prospective clients can book their session(s), purchase fine art products, and more! No more writing and mailing checks, and waiting days for me to receive it and have your session be “officially” booked… Now, with a click of a button, you can submit your payment online and you’re done! Quick, easy, secure, and paperless! It is a top priority for me to ensure my clients have a seamless experience when they book their session with me so this new online store for my business was definitely a game-changer!!
Which leads me to my next exciting announcement… With the launch of the store, I wanted to also launch my Holiday Mini-Session Special! I always love this time of year when I can offer a fun styled mini-shoot with new and returning clients. I had a blast last year during my Fall mini-session so I decided to do two mini-session specials in 2014 (fall & winter themed).
Now that the holidays are right around the corner, I know that all of us are watching our pennies (myself included!)… this is the main reason why I offer a special! To show my appreciation, to give my clients treasured images this year, and to have fun photos to include in their annual holiday cards! I’m not planning on booking any sessions in December so this mini-session will wrap up my year with a bang!! 🙂
Typically, my lifestyle portraiture sessions are 90 minutes long and can be an investment. However, these seasonal mini-sessions are only 20 minutes long — just enough time to get folks warmed up and for me to capture some fun memories at a discounted rate. I especially love these mini-sessions because many of those that book are returning clients that I get to see and catch up with. It’s also an opportunity to meet new clients –They are great for families with young children but also great for those of you that are newlyweds or have an anniversary coming up — don’t rule out the idea of you two rockin’ out some great photos too!
This year’s Holiday Mini-Session will be at the beautiful Tuckahoe Plantation. If you’ve never been then you’re in for quite a treat!! The property is full of Richmond history with the beautiful gardens and the architecture — it is so very charming! It’s a national landmark and the boyhood home of Thomas Jefferson. It’s also extra special to me because I had my bridal portraits taken here by the lovely Laura Gordon! I’m so very excited that I have the location reserved for the entire day! Right now, it’s there “off season” so on a Sunday November morning, we’ll get to explore the gorgeous grounds while capturing some fun memories. For those that book around the lunch or dinner hour, I would highly suggest grabbing a bite at Portico afterwards — delicious food and a great atmosphere! Youuuu may see me there for dinner afterwards to cheers my hubby to a successful mini-session day! 🙂
I’m starting to gather inspiration for this upcoming session and I have some great ideas churning!! Stay tuned for a blog post next week for some sneak peeks on what to expect, tips on what to wear, and how to best prepare. Below are the details — I launched this special yesterday and I’ll keep it online until all the spots are filled. Hope to see you soon!!
