Happy Thanksgiving Eve everyone! I hope all of you are having a great week and getting ready for Turkey Day! In addition to shooting and editing this week, I’ve been staying busy getting my house ready for Thanksgiving! This will be our third year hosting Thanksgiving in our home. We’ve loved this annual tradition! I’m excited to try out (for the first time!) some Southern Living recipes this year! 🙂
This year we’ll have 14 of us at our house including our newest addition to the family, Maury Jr.! Myself and Ryan, my parents, Ryan’s mom and brother, my grandparents, my brother and his wife Rachael (and Maury Jr.!), and Rachael’s parents and grandmother — the first year that we’ll all be together! SO very thankful to have all our family under one roof to enjoy each other’s company and eat some yummy food! It’s such a wonderful time to reminisce on how many blessings are in our lives and how truly thankful we all are!
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I wanted to take a moment to express how thankful I am for my husband! This coming Monday will be our TWO YEAR wedding anniversary!!!! Where did the time go?! I’ve been head over heels in love with this man since 2010 and not a day goes by where I don’t count my blessings that he’s in my life. He’s always been my biggest fan! Through the ups and downs of day-to-day life and the craziness starting a business on my own, he’s always there, always supporting me, always cheering me on. I consider myself a very high-energy person, always moving from one thing to the next, always going and going… Ryan says our family has “tiger blood!”, LOL. When I’m stressed he makes me laugh, when I’m happy he embraces the moment with me, when I’m down he picks me up, and when I come up with another wild and crazy idea he goes along for the ride.
I’m so very thankful for his patience, thankful for his support to chase my dreams, thankful for his charm and his wittiness, thankful for him providing for our family, thankful for his snuggles, thankful for the way he believes in me, and thankful for his ambition. I’m thankful for our date nights, thankful for our lazy Sundays in our PJs, thankful for his laughter, and most thankful for his trust, respect, and devoted love.
With each engagement, wedding, maternity, newborn, and family session I capture… I’m reminded often how much life is truly a blessing. Time goes by so quickly and those special fleeting moments are precious. So very thankful that I get to spend my days and many, many, many more special moments with the one who fills my heart with so much happiness. I love you Ry! With you, it truly is a wonderful world.
